Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand business and data requirements
• Partner with business and technical teams to design and develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations
• Design, implement, optimize, and maintain ETL data pipelines and automation processes
• Develop and monitor data ingestion processes from operational systems (e.g., POS, ERP, HRIS) into the Enterprise Data Warehouse (Oracle/MSSQL)
• Create, develop, and deploy BI dashboards and interactive reports that meet business needs
• Ensure data quality, security, privacy, and compliance across all data solutions
• Enhance data infrastructure and processes by applying best practices and leveraging the latest technologies
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, and propose innovative solutions to strengthen data capabilities

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Engineering or any related disciplines
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in in designing and developing data modeling, infrastructure, and warehousing; 5 years’ experience in the Retail or F&B IT industry is preferred
• Strong SQL skills with solid experience in analytics-focused data modeling. (e.g., star schemas, stored procedures, dimensional modeling)
• Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT, Python/shell scripting, Hadoop/Spark, SQL/NoSQL, SSIS, SSRS, and BI tools
• Proficient in ETL processes, data cleansing, and data quality management
• Experience in preparing data for SSRS, Oracle Analytics, or Power BI
• Proven ability to build and maintain production data pipelines and data warehouses
• Familiar with Oracle database technologies, including Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), and Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), is preferred
• Good knowledge of data modeling, database design, warehousing, and cloud data infrastructure.
• Knowledge of AI and Machine Learning is an advantage
• Strong documentation and troubleshooting skills
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills; open-minded and collaborative
• Good command of English and Chinese
• Willing to travel and support overseas projects
• Candidate with more experience will be considered as Senior Data Engineer
