Responsibilities:

  • Review construction plans and preparing quantity requirements for tender purpose
  • Work with Project Manager to carry out tender process (e.g. open tender, issue tender queries)
  • Perform tender analysis, tender interview with the contractors
  • Prepare tender reports with analysis (e.g. check against budgets, risk assessment)
  • Provide advice on contractor selection and re-engineering strategies on cost control
  • Keep track of materials and labour cost database to monitor the trend of the market
  • Document to record any changes in design (e.g. VO requisition & approval) and update CAPEX
  • Develop cost database system to facilitate the cost control on the projects
  • Perform CAPEX analysis and take lead on exploring the cost saving opportunities and motivate the related parties to achieve the targets
  • Develop & review the Policy and Procedure of the department and ensure that the P&P is effectively executed
  • Establish the intelligence network to realise the market price trends
  • Supervise and control a project administration team to carry out documentation work supporting project management

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Management, or similar.
  • Possess a minimum of 6 years’ solid experience in F&B store development / renovation
  • Hands on project / on site management for managing fitting out projects
  • Good team player with excellent presentation, negotiation, organization, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to handle multiple tasks under a tight schedule and rapidly changing environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English and Mandarin
  • Hands on experience in Microsoft software is an asset
  • Willing to travel
  • Self-motivated, good team work, details minded and able to work under pressure

Mr. LAU Tat Man, Daren

Mr. LAU Tat Man, Daren, has been the Chief Executive Officer of Tam Jai International Co. Limited (“TJI” or “the Company”) since 2018. He is responsible for shaping the growth path of the Company, leading strategic initiative and managing overall business development and operation. Under his leadership, TJI has been dedicated its resources to strengthen the market positioning, enhance operation standards and efficiencies, develop innovative products as well as improve overall food safety and food quality. The Company’s two brands, TamJai Yunnan Mixian and TamJai SamGor Mixian, successfully expand their footprint beyond Hong Kong and will set up their overseas stores in Shenzhen and Singapore respectively in 2020.

Mr. Lau has over 30 years of management experience in food and beverage industry in Hong Kong and Asia Pacific Region. Prior to joining the Company, He had held senior management positions in premier corporations including Café de Coral Corporation, SSP Group Ltd., TGI Friday’s and The Peninsula Hotel, Hong Kong.

Mr. Lau holds a Master of Business Administration Degree from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and was placed on the Dean’s list.
