Responsibilities:

  • Implement and continuously improve Corporate Supplier QA Process
  • Key routines include supplier/item risk assessments, making new and ongoing site assessments, items and suppliers performance review, product quality and complaint follow-up etc.
  • Work closely with cross functional teams, including Purchasing, Central Kitchen, Operation and overseas counterparts to support their product/supplier development and improvement needs
  • Uphold and manage the meeting of required product standards, through developing, reviewing, communicating and managing the Product Specifications
  • Conduct suppliers site assessments, occasional travels to new or existing suppliers’ facilities in Hong Kong, China and overseas
  • Liaise with 3rd party on any subcontracted testing; audit and product inspection work, ensuring the completion of all necessary due diligence activities
  • Develop, maintain and evolve the in-house supplier audit system as a key tool to improve suppliers’ capability and competency on food safety and quality management
  • Support Group Purchase Department and other user departments all supplier/product QA performance analytics
  • Assist QA Director with special projects and company initiatives
  • Support on other ESG initiatives in regard to Supply Chain Management

 

Requirements:

  • Degree in food sciences or related disciplines with at least 5 years relevant working experience in supplier management, auditing and quality management in food industry
  • Exposure in both food and some non-food categories is preferred
  • Possess practical audit experience and qualifications in HACCP or other GFSI schemes
  • Familiar with general and local food regulations
  • Working experience in Supply Chain ESG initiatives is an add-on asset
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft office
  • Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent organization, problem solving, decision-making and negotiation skills
  • Good team player and strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Good command of spoken and written English, Cantonese and Mandarin

Mr. LAU Tat Man, Daren

Mr. LAU Tat Man, Daren, has been the Chief Executive Officer of Tam Jai International Co. Limited (“TJI” or “the Company”) since 2018. He is responsible for shaping the growth path of the Company, leading strategic initiative and managing overall business development and operation. Under his leadership, TJI has been dedicated its resources to strengthen the market positioning, enhance operation standards and efficiencies, develop innovative products as well as improve overall food safety and food quality. The Company’s two brands, TamJai Yunnan Mixian and TamJai SamGor Mixian, successfully expand their footprint beyond Hong Kong and will set up their overseas stores in Shenzhen and Singapore respectively in 2020.

Mr. Lau has over 30 years of management experience in food and beverage industry in Hong Kong and Asia Pacific Region. Prior to joining the Company, He had held senior management positions in premier corporations including Café de Coral Corporation, SSP Group Ltd., TGI Friday’s and The Peninsula Hotel, Hong Kong.

Mr. Lau holds a Master of Business Administration Degree from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and was placed on the Dean’s list.
