Since its inception in 1996, TamJai Yunnan Mixian has reshaped the culinary landscape, winning over the hearts and taste buds of Hong Kongers and bringing rice noodles (“mixian”) to a broader audience. The launch of TamJai SamGor Mixian in 2008, as a spin-off of TamJai, redefined the art of savouring mixian alongside the flagship TamJai experience.

Crafted solely from rice and water, mixian is naturally gluten-free, fast to prepare, healthy and of high quality. Through a blend of traditional craftmanship and modern techniques, TamJai and SamGor have revolutionised the traditional “carted noodles” into a new era. Cooked fresh and served “al dente”, our offerings feature distinctive soup bases, varying spicy levels and a wide selection of toppings, making the highly personalised mixian a beloved daily comfort food embraced by all walks of life in Hong Kong.

Adding a burst of color to our journey is the way our unique flavours have captured the hearts of Hong Kong food lovers, making mixian a source of daily excitement. The renowned TamJai Spicy Scale, a legacy born within our establishments, has evolved into a universal standard of spiciness in Hong Kong. Through offering ten different levels of spiciness, we have not only enhanced the flavour and aroma of our dishes but also fostered a growing appreciation for spicy gastronomy. Alongside with mixian and many of our snacks, our trademarked To Fei Chicken wings have garnered popularity among many in Hong Kong, establishing themselves as a beloved signature dish.

A new chapter began in 2018 when Toridoll Holdings Corporation acquired both brands. The establishment of Tam Jai International Co. Limited (“TJI”) marked a strategic leap forward with a vision to bring Hong Kong’s cherished flavours to a global audience. Under the astute leadership of TJI’s management team, the Group flourished, driven by a commitment to product innovation, exceptional service, and operational excellence. This dynamic journey culminated in public listing on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in October 2021 (stock code: 2217.HK).

Today, TJI boasts an impressive network of over 240 stores across Hong Kong, Mainland China, Singapore, Japan and Australia. With an appetite to share its culinary creations with the world, the Group is breaking new ground in markets such as the Philippines and Malaysia.

Expanding on the foundation of our operational and management excellence, we are diversifying our brand portfolio to offer more excitement to our customers. In Hong Kong, TJI has secured exclusive rights for Marugame Seimen, the largest Japanese udon noodle chain, and Yakiniku Yamagyu, Japanese beef rice brand. Leveraging a multi-brand strategy, TJI is poised to capture a greater share of the fast-casual segment, aiming to build growth momentum and promote long-term sustainable development.
