Launched the sustainability video series
Promote Fair Education and Upward Mobility
The scheme grants a subsidy of 80% on local university tuition fee (up to HK$50,000) to children of employees with over 3 years of service. Additionally, we offer a 72-hour internship opportunity for the children, enabling them to personally experience their parents’ work environment, gaining valuable experience, and helping to strengthen parent-child communication. Beginning in FY2024/25, we have expanded our offerings to include career guidance, mentorship, and volunteering opportunities, enriching our support for the children.
Provide Suitable Training Opportunities to Enhance Professionalism
To nurture talents and ensure our employees are aligned with company goals, we consistently organise training courses, workshops, and seminars for employees at different levels. In FY2023/24, we provided more than 37,700 hours of training to our employees, including a large-scale TJI Management Conference.
Empower ESG Practices at All Levels
To instil a sense of shared responsibility and enable positive behavioural change, we have implemented a series of ESG education programmes for our staff, including informative sharing sessions, waste reduction competitions, ESG-related educational videos, covering topics such as ESG fundamentals, carbon reduction, and sustainable seafood. Understanding the importance of active participation from the frontline staff for ESG practice implementation, we aim to raise awareness among not only office staff, but also frontline staff and store managers and empower them to actively contribute to our collective sustainability efforts.
Through Sponsorship and Speaking Opportunities
Committed to nurturing local young talents, we proudly sponsored events in FY2023/24 that support student and youth empowerment, such as the Retail Reimagined Challenge 2024, Tech for Good Film Festival, and various speaking opportunities at universities. Our goal is to uplift young individuals by widening their horizons and nurturing their potential, while also absorbing innovative ideas for igniting changes for the industry.
Supplier Code of Conduct
In FY2024, we launched our first Supplier Code of Conduct, which highlights the importance of business conduct, anti-corruption and regulatory compliance. This milestone initiative has allowed us to engage with 400+ active suppliers, fostering clear communication and aligning expectations regarding responsible sourcing practices. The comprehensive Communication Pack, which includes detailed guidelines and requirements, has been shared with our suppliers to ensure a shared commitment to sustainability and ethical sourcing.
Promote Employee Well-being and Ensure Workplace Safety
Maintaining a healthy and safe working environment is essential to the well-being of employees, as well as to long-term sustainable development. Throughout the years, we have adopted an efficient occupational health and safety (“OHS”) system to ensure strict internal policies and procedures are in place for our operations. We also continue to improve our management to enhance the system, aiming to minimise potential risks across the organisation, efforts include investing in comprehensive safety training programmes to equip employees with precautionary measures.
